York Avenue Preschool is a private independent, non-for-profit coeducational preschool, licensed by the Department of Health, Bureau of Daycare of the City of New York, and chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York.

We are a member of the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York (I.S.A.A.G.N.Y.), and the Parents League. Since 1989, we have occupied an entire first floor of a luxury Upper East Side high-rise, on a quiet street, a few blocks away from Gracie Mansion and John Jay Park.

York Avenue Preschool offers programs for Young Two’s, Older Two’s, Three’s, and a Pre-K (Four’s) program. Ages for admission are 2.3 years through 4.11 years.
